Dagfinn Buset

Dagfinn is Head of BDO’s Security and Emergency Services. Dagfinn has extensive experience in the field of cyber security, protective security, and emergency planning. Before he joined BDO, Dagfinn was a specialist director in the Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM), where he was responsible for strategic advice on cyber/protective security, strategic analysis and assessments of the threat and risk landscape, national security inspections, and the implementation of cross-sectoral instruments for the protection of critical national infrastructure and key assets. Dagfinn also led NSMs task force after the terror attacks 22 July 2011. 

Dagfinn has been responsible for the development of action plans and strategies for national security, the implementation of processes and methodology related to security risk management, risk assessment, awareness training, exercises and emergency preparedness.

Dagfinn is an experienced advisor. He always advocates a comprehensive approach to security management, integrated with the existing management system in an organization, thus establishing a firm basis for continuous improvement of the work on security. Dagfinn has a global network in both the public and private sector, civil and military organizations, and on both the operational and strategic level of expertise.
